2011 Richmond Festival of Cross

It's been another silent summer on the blog, but as I look at the bruises on my ankles from my less than polished remounts I realize it's cross time.  I need to get off my ass and post some stuff about our race if I want anyone to show.  Once again this year we are working with the fine folks at River City Women's Racing to put on this extravaganza.  Really it's just two solid days of racing, but we hope to get some food and product vendors in to make this more than just a race.  Unfortunately, the city still will not allow official adult beverages (wink) but it's a party nonetheless.  Saturday will be back at Bryan Park.  Chip Atkins has some things up his sleeve to tweak the race a bit again, but count on flat and fast still.  I will be leading the charge at Chimborazo Park on Sunday complete with the return of the 4" Barrier of  Death that seemed to claim so many rear wheels last year.  More to come as as we firm things up but the reg is up at http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=14325
